Terms of use
Last updated: April 2026
By using ClearMoneySchool, you agree to these terms. They are intentionally short. If anything here matters to your decision to use the site, read it carefully. For specific legal questions, talk to a lawyer. For finance questions, talk to a licensed advisor.
Education only
ClearMoneySchool provides general financial education. Nothing on the site is investment, tax, accounting, or legal advice. Nothing is a recommendation to buy or sell any specific security or financial product. Examples and calculator outputs are illustrative.
You are responsible for your own financial decisions. ClearMoneySchool and its team are not liable for losses, missed gains, taxes, penalties, or any other negative outcomes resulting from actions taken based on the content here.
Account and content
We may add account features in the future. When we do, you'll accept additional terms specific to those features. Until then, the site is read-only and free.
The lessons, glossary, calculators, code, and other content on ClearMoneySchool are owned by ClearMoneySchool. You may share links and quote short passages with attribution. You may not republish, resell, or mirror substantial portions without written permission.
Acceptable use
You agree not to: scrape the site at scale, attempt to disrupt service, attempt to access non-public systems, submit fraudulent waitlist entries, or use the site to harass or harm others.
No warranties
The site is provided "as is" and "as available". We do our best to keep it accurate, but financial information changes constantly. Specific dollar limits, tax rates, regulations, and product details mentioned in lessons may be out of date. Always verify current numbers directly with the relevant institution or your tax professional before acting.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ClearMoneySchool's total liability for any claim arising from your use of the site is limited to the amount you have paid us in the prior 12 months (which, for free-tier users, is $0).
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email to subscribers and via a banner on the site. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which ClearMoneySchool is incorporated. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
